Once again, I was inspired by a layout done by Nicole Magouirk. She and her family went to South Dakota on vacation and I have many pictures from the same areas because my sister lives in South Dakota. I have lots of shots of Mount Rushmore, scenes from the Badlands (including at sunset), pictures of our fun activities like tubing, bumper boats and go karts, and lots of incredible scenery.
I will be using this layout as a title page for an album with all kinds of photos from our many trips there.
I used my Silhouette to cut the South Dakota frame. The "fun" and "Wet & Wild" texts were cut from heavy water colour paper with my KNK.
The stamps used are Ali Edwards stamps -- love, love love Ali Edwards stamps and cannot get enough of them.
Just be sure you have some time on your hands before you click the links to the blogs of Nicole and Ali. I guarantee you will want to spend some time looking around ... be sure to save the bookmarks!!!
I am also from SD and made my first trip in 14 years back out to the Black Hills. I wish we could have stayed longer - but in 4 days we took about 500 pictures. The Badlands are my favorite - the scens are ever-changing. Where in SD does your sister live ? We are a fortunate bunch out here, and you captured the Black Hills in such a nice way in your layout.
ReplyDeleteMy sister lives just outside of Rapid City. You are fortunate -- it is so beautiful out there. I'm due for a visit soon and can't wait!
ReplyDeleteIt's about a 5 hour drive for me, but it was so worth it - especially halfway thru when my brother took my keys and announced he was driving.
ReplyDeleteI love this layout !
